New York had an amazing summer as far as outdoor events and dubstep lineups go, and so far the fall is shaping up to be a seamless continuation of much the same caliber - minus the outdoor. Tonight, Mount Kimbie bring their brand of crackling, garagey funk to Public Assembly for The Bunker, alongside versatile deep-end locals Sepalcure and Dave Q of Dubwar. Expect hear more techno and ambient influenced sides of dubstep churned out in live double-team tweakery. The hipsters have been hungering this sort of thing since Burial's last album, so there's sure to be quite the turnout. I honestly have no idea what to expect from these wizards!
It's going to be a difficult choice for many as the Dub Police don Caspa heads up a massive night at Webster Hall on one of the better sound systems bumping in NYC. He's joined by Bass Fueled Mischief bad boys Hellfire Machina, Anitserum and Vibesquad. Posi D and MC Track will be holding down the proceedings for all the womp heads inside. At $1 before Midnight this an absolute steal and the perfect counterbalance to electro-acoustic extravaganza at Public Assembly. I'll be at both putting the word out about our Full Spectrum night coming up on the 15th of this month. Stay tuned for more nightlife updates. Bless
